A New Chapter at Residences at the MED: Building a Stronger Community

In October 2025, Keener Property Management assumed management of Residences at the MED with a clear objective: strengthen the community experience for every resident who calls RMED home.


While operational excellence is always a priority, leadership also understands that a thriving apartment community is built on more than maintenance schedules and lease agreements. It is shaped by connection, visibility, and meaningful engagement.


Since coming on board, Keener Property Management has placed a deliberate focus on creating opportunities that bring residents together and foster a stronger sense of belonging.


Intentional Community Engagement


Over the past several months, that focus has been reflected in both day-to-day service improvements and a series of resident-focused events designed to encourage interaction and connection.


During the Thanksgiving season, residents were invited to participate in a pie giveaway — a simple but thoughtful way to acknowledge the holiday and express appreciation for the community. Our team delivered pies throughout the property, contributing to residents’ Thanksgiving dinners with family and friends.


In December, a Christmas Bingo/Trivia Event transformed the property office into a lively gathering space where residents enjoyed friendly competition, shared laughter, festive treats, and prizes while connecting with neighbors outside of their daily routines.


Most recently, our Valentine’s Day celebration brought residents, visitors, and team members together for cupcakes and assorted Valentine’s treats and conversation. The entire Residences at the MED team, including maintenance, leasing, and management, was on hand, creating an opportunity for genuine interaction outside of routine service requests or office visits. It was especially rewarding to see so many members of our community stop by and spend time connecting with neighbors and staff alike. Moments like these reinforce an important principle: community is strengthened through shared experiences, thoughtful engagement, and leadership that is visible and present.


These initiatives are not one-time gestures. They reflect an ongoing commitment to creating a property environment where residents feel recognized, welcomed, and engaged.


Establishing New Traditions: Starting with Popcorn Fridays


Building on that momentum, Residences at the MED has introduced Popcorn Fridays, which is a weekly open invitation for residents and visitors to stop by the property office beginning at 2:00 PM each Friday.


With fresh popcorn, music, and an open-door atmosphere, Popcorn Fridays are designed to create a consistent, approachable touchpoint within the community. Some residents stop in briefly to grab a snack; others stay to connect with neighbors or speak with our team. Everyone is welcome. Residents are even encouraged to join in the capacity they’re most comfortable with, whether that’s bringing a deck of cards and starting a friendly “Go Fish” tournament or simply enjoying an afternoon of conversation. The space is intended to feel open, relaxed, and shared.


Consistency matters. When residents know the door is open and the team is present, it changes how a property feels.


There will be more events hosted in future, and residents are encouraged to watch the online portal for details as events are planned.

Our leasing team plays a critical role in welcoming new residents and setting the tone for a positive living experience from day one. Our maintenance professionals work diligently to ensure that homes remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. Administrative and support staff coordinate details that often go unseen but are essential to delivering a seamless experience.
